Mission Arizona Ice has been invited to the Chicago Fury/Team Illinois AAA Mid-West Showcase to be held May 10th-11th!!

Nick Pollos, Chicago Fury Midget Major Head Coach, contacted Becky Taylor to personally invite Mission to participate in the U18 division.  He told Taylor that "we all discussed it and feel that Mission really impressed us in October."  Even though our 18 team had a 0-4 record, he continued with, "your coach Jeremy and your players never gave up and remained competitive throughout the tournament.  We would love the opportunity to help your organization".  Coach Goltz will select 20 players to travel to Chicago.

Coach reponded in his ever-present enthusiastic tone "we will be competing against top programs in the country. What makes this so special is that at traditional camps kids are placed on different teams and have no idea who they are playing with. This is an unreal exposure opportunity and the guys will be playing with all familiar faces...I cannot say enough how truly lucky we are to get this opportunity..."

Next season, Mission's 18 Tier team has again been invited to the Chicago Fury Fall Tournament and Mission's 16 Tier team is in the mix for Nike Bauer Fall Invitational.  Mission is firmly planted on the USA Hockey map.

Congratulations to Mission players Jon Eades, A.J. Wilhite, and Blake McCracken for being recognized at the 2008 USA Development Camp!!!  Way to go fellas!!!

Mission players invited to participate in the Great Western Futures Super Camp in Las Vegas NV June 15th through the 18th!!!

The showcase will kick off Sunday, June 15th, with registration two hours before the first game in the concourse of the Fiesta Ice Arena and will continue through Wednesday afternoon. The camp has secured three USHL head coaches, one USHL assistant coach and one BCHL head coach, along with five Division I college coaches on the bench for the other teams.  In addition, the Super Camp  has commitments from teams in the NAHL Junior A Tier II, Junior A Tier III leagues, Norpac, WSHL, CSHL, EJHL, and AA and AAA Midget teams. Jason Herter, a member of USHL Central Scouting, will also be on hand.

So far, two Mission players have been accepted to participate - '91 forward
Patrick Moodie and '90 Goalie Clay Taylor.  Good luck boys!

TWO MISSION AZ ICE PLAYERS INVITED TO USHL SIOUX CITY MUSKETEERS FUTURES CAMP!!!

Mission AZ Ice players Daniel Marinaro and Mychal Salvione have been selected to attend the Futures Camp for the USHL's Sioux City Musketeers.  This "Invitation-Only" camp is an opportunity for players to be evaluated in preparation for the upcoming USHL draft.   These two should pave the way for other Mission AZ Ice players in the future. Congratulations Daniel and Mychal...and Good Luck!

USHL finds its way to Mission AZ Ice...

After only one season under Mission's belt, scouts are already beginning to sit-up and take notice.  Mission is no longer flying under their radar.  With high profile coaching attached to the Mission AZ Ice banner, players don't have be on a designated Tier I team to get the nod. Mission is looking forward to more scouting possibilities in the near future.  Click here to find out more.
